When we had the staff meeting last month to figure out what we wanted to do for our anniversary broadcast this upcoming week, we wanted to dial it back from our usual high profile focus and bring the attention back to the local scene. We never would have capitalized on this area's love for hip hop if you guys hadn't have shown passion for it. So why not show some love to the people who made this network go from scribbles on a napkin to a reality.

That being said, the list of artists we had to chose from for our main showcase was tough. All the heavyweights from Ase-Mor, to ev8r, to Marcel, to Zay were on everyone's list. But the one that was on almost everyones top 5 was the B-R-E-A-D himself.

This dude is the closest living synonym to work that ever came up around here. If you dont see him behind a mic, you either see him behind FL Studio or a welding torch. And it shows. His songs aren't always the most hard hitting or rewindable, but they are most definitely his own. From concept, to beat choice, to lyrics, to execution...Its clearly one mind behind the Working Man. And that's his.
